There was some great news on the racing front this week as on Wednesday our own sprint King Paul Crook belatedly started his racing season at the Masters race at Hillingdon and by the end of the evening he had won his first race of the year with an impressive Bunch sprint win. As they say class is permanent and Paul certainly has class. Well the news this week has to be centred on the clubs own successful Bucks Off Road Sportive and what an event, Steve K had found some cracking trails once again and I reckon the weather was perfect until the end of the day. A a little bit of rain Saturday had softened up some of the harder trails and made for fast riding and we have had loads of positive comments, those that helped out in any way and there are far to many to mention individually take a large pat on your backs! What great weather we had last week and at the weekend and this of course meant that a lot of people were out riding and racing, starting off with Hillingdon on Tuesday and it was great to see a host of Yellow and Black jerseys and all showing at the front, at the end of the race it was all down to a bunch sprint where I managed to be the best club finisher in 4th place.

Well time waits for no man and another week flies by, the big news on the racing front was the fact that at our own Road Race at Hillingdon on Tuesday night Clive Evans unleashed his awesome sprint and repeated his win of last year taking first in a bunch sprint, a little further back I managed 3rd after an unsuccessful break I was in got caught with less than 2 laps to go. Well after recording a couple of club wins last week alas no success to report on this week. In the Tuesday Road race at Hillingdon Road race Clive was best of the team in 7th whilst I just managed to scrape into the top ten in 10th but good to see Paul Williams and Sean Downey taking part, as we are running this Tuesdays evening be even better if we can get a few more people taking part, so far 3 people have volunteered to help out and we need 5 so if you don’t fancy racing any chance of volun...
