What a great weekend for riding at last , sunshine which made a very pleasant change, as everyone should know it was our 13th Bucks Off Road Sportive and although numbers were slightly down on last year we still had a great turnout, so many people to thank, Steve K for the route, Colin and Neil for checking the course on Sunday, the feed station helpers, John/Betty/Jean/Dave/Aaron and Rachael, the HQ staff Martin/Henry/Lynsey/Karen and my Mum and Dad, all those that helped out with car parking ... Well the next big club promotion is coming along this Sunday the 13th May when we organise our Bucks Off Road Sportive , close to 400 riders have signed up to ride and more are expected to sign up on the day.
Hopefully all club members apart from our racing boys and girls who will be at the Southern Mountain Bike championships will be on the start line for a great days Mountain Biking. A couple of people have expressed some concern that the event may be a bit hard for them but remember t... [read more]

Yet another wet week which must be cheesing everyone else off as much as me, however Tuesday was one of the best days in the clubs history when we promoted the latest round of the Hillingdon evening series, with a rare break in the weather the event had attracted big fields in both the E/1/2 and the 3/4 event and for the first time there was squad of 4 from the WDMBC in the 3rd cat race. A wet week certainly did not dampen the enthusiasm of the club this week,as once again variety was the spice of life, starting off on Monday both Reg and Sam Grant were at Reading Track with Sam winning his heat in the sprint race the highlight of the results, Tuesday a few brave souls went down to Hillingdon and despite heavy rain took part in the evening series. Another week rolls by and so far no racing wins over the weekend to report on which makes a change but hopefully I will soon get a flood of e-mails letting me know how people got on , one win we do have to report on those is the fact that Mr Time triallist Paul Williams won the first mid week evening Bath RC 10's although the course had been cut short due to road works-so well done Paul.
